Intensive In-Community (IIC) Services

Intensive In-Community (IIC) Services

Intensive in-community (IIC) services in New Jersey provide therapeutic interventions and support to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral health challenges within their communities. Part of the New Jersey Children's System of Care (CSOC), these services target youth up to the age of 21, including those with developmental or intellectual disabilities, aiming to stabilize them in their home environment, develop adaptive skills, and support their families. IIC services include individualized therapy, behavioral support, case management, and crisis intervention, delivered in the child’s home, school, or other community settings. They are customized based on comprehensive assessments and involve a team approach with licensed therapists, behavioral specialists, and care managers.

Families access these services through PerformCare, which conducts assessments and connects them with IIC providers. The benefits of IIC services include enhanced stability, improved functioning, family empowerment, and holistic care, helping children and adolescents thrive while equipping families with the necessary tools to manage challenges effectively.
